The fourth set of Fake News Poetry Workshops took place on March 19 and 20, 2018, in two "Experimental Writing" sections taught at the University of Sussex. Bookending a faculty strike across the UK, our four sessions, led by Sam Soloman, focused on how we might "know the 'truth' of very local political upheavals and of something as starkly divided as a dispute between management and workers." Already working with writers who already were experimenting with language and community, we enjoyed another luxury in this instance: repeat meetings for both classes, giving participants the opportunity to reflect, revise, and respond. You can read more at Sam's 10 Tries, 100 Poems blog post, or read their amazing poems found to the left on this page. My travels to England were supported by a Tow Research Grant through Brooklyn College, CUNY.
