A Fake News Poetry Performance Workshop, "Disinformation and Performance," was held at the Engagement Lab at Emerson College on November 25, 2019. Undergraduate students enrolled in Ioana Jucan's class, "In the News: The Real, the Fake, and the Spectacle," graduate students in Civic Media, Art, and Practice, and some Emerson professors joined together to script and perform scenarios based on a meme, a poem, an encounter in their own life that was organized by falsity, and some affect associated. Their live sketches were performed from loose scripts collected here as "Poems." These scripts were based on performance instructions created by Ioana and included here in "Ephemera." All these materials will be fed to our Affect Bot and will become part of a larger performance on the personaes we are scripted into being (by ourselves or machines) and how these characters engage with, change, or stop the flow of fakes.
