Two Fake News Poetry Workshops, both entitled "Algorithms as Pets and Politicians," took place at the Dartmouth College DHSE on February 25, 2019 with the support of Jacque Wernimont and then, refined and with a further tech build-out at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn on May 20, 2019. Led by Orr Menirom and Kyle Booten, who had themselves met at the Ammerman Workshop on algorithms as poems led by Kyle a year previously, these sessions focused upon literacy concerning the "design of machine learning systems as an artistic question. In a hands-on activity, participants interacted with a web-based 'pet' algorithm,training it to embody certain political or philosophical views."
